How do I find a commercial landfill or transfer station in my state?

Ripingo Waste Management lists 1,001 waste & scrap facilities (230 hand-curated hubs + 771 EPA/GIS registry sites) across all 50 US states and the District of Columbia. The public index shows the hand-curated hub names and states. An active PIN unlocks contacts, facility notes and mapping tools. Confirm the receiving account, material profile, hours and commercial acceptance before dispatch.

What is the difference between MSW and C&D tipping fees?

MSW is municipal solid waste; C&D is construction and demolition material such as rubble and mixed building debris. Operators price them separately. Sorted C&D can cost less than MSW, but mixed or contaminated C&D can cost more. Use the current facility schedule, minimum charges and surcharges rather than assuming a universal discount.

Are 2026 tipping fees the same across a state?

No. Charges vary by facility, material, account, origin and load condition. Ripingo Waste Management’s 50-State + DC Tipping Fee & Haul Planning Index separates MSW, C&D / Rubble, Clean Fill / Aggregate and Recycling / MRF budget models. Modeled ranges are estimates, not published statewide tariffs or guaranteed receiving prices.

When should I use a walking floor instead of an end dump?

A walking-floor trailer unloads through a moving floor without raising the trailer body. An end dump raises its body and needs suitable ground, overhead clearance and a safe unloading area. Match volume, payload, material and unloading method to the trailer manual and receiving facility; neither trailer is universally accepted.

What PSI, pump flow and tank size does a hydraulic wet kit need?

There is no universal safe PSI, flow or reservoir size for every walking floor, tipper or end dump. A qualified installer must match the trailer manufacturer’s pressure and flow specifications, transmission/PTO compatibility, duty cycle, return path, couplers and reservoir capacity. A 50-gallon tank is not automatically suitable. Never drive with the PTO engaged.

Can Bluetooth cell phone onboard scales replace a certified scale ticket?

No. Compatible onboard sensors can estimate axle-group weights on a phone after proper installation and calibration. They do not replace certified scale tickets or independently establish legal gross, axle or bridge-formula compliance. Verify suspension compatibility and weigh the loaded truck on a suitable scale.

What belongs in a DOT commercial driver onboarding packet?

Requirements depend on the driver and operation. Review the application and employment history, licensing, required MVRs and safety history, medical qualification, road test or documented equivalent, and applicable drug/alcohol testing and Clearinghouse checks. A full Clearinghouse query requires separate electronic driver consent. Ripingo Waste Management’s Forms 23–27 are PIN-protected templates, not a substitute for official screening or qualification decisions.

How can shippers and brokers post a waste or freight load for free?

Open the public Post Load page and provide company, contact phone, origin, destination, equipment, weight, pickup date, commodity and target carrier pay. Posting does not require a PIN and does not guarantee a truck or dispatch service. Reading existing loads, assigning carriers and accessing private financial details remain PIN-protected.

MSW planning dollars per short ton, not current facility tariffs. Historical EREF 2023 figures guide MSW scenarios; Low is at least 60% of the state reference average. Missouri uses a planning override: $42.00 Low / $58.50 Avg / $75.00 High. Avg retains the historical reference except for that override. Six jurisdictions use labeled regional fallbacks. Haul costs require your lane, payload and carrier quote.
